of The Villages
P.O. Box 1067, Lady Lake, FL 32158
WLOV was founded in 2011 in The Villages, Florida, to serve the interests of Villages writers, published and unpublished. Its goals are to:
1) further the education of writers about all aspects of the craft, including editing, self-publishing and marketing
2) foster an environment for promoting the published works of our authors.
These goals are accomplished via monthly speaker presentations, special writing seminars, an annual book fair, this website, and a monthly newsletter with information of interest to all TV authors. We are not a critique group, but many of our members belong to one or more of the Villages' several writing critique groups (listed under Writing Groups in Table of Contents, left panel).
All Villages residents and guests are invited to come to our monthly meetings. To join and receive our emails and newsletters, plus discounts for special seminars and other paid events, the fee is $15/year (Click on "WLOV Membership" at left for Membership Request form). Meetings are the first Wednesday of every month (except June and July) at Laurel Manor Recreation Center, 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Go to WLOV Past Events for downloads of previous slide presentations and/or handouts.
